Kery C. Hummel
Kery Hummel joined the MPS staff in December of 2006. He has an M.S. in Health Care Administration and over thirty years of experience in health related fields in Texas, Ohio and Maryland. He has most recently been the director at the Western Maryland Area Health Education Center (AHEC) in Cumberland, Maryland and has worked on a broad range of public health topics, ranging from developing a disparities reduction model for Maryland’s Special Populations Cancer Network to examining factors impacting emergency room wait times. Kery staffs the MPS Executive Committee, MPS Council and the MPS Legislative Committee. Mr. Hummel also provides staff support for The Maryland Psychiatric Political Action Committee. Heidi Bunes edits the monthly MPS News and staffs the Maryland Foundation for Psychiatry and the MPS ethics and distinguished fellowship committees. Heidi also maintains the MPS, MPPAC and MFP financial information and works on various special projects. Meagan H. Floyd
Meagan Floyd started at the MPS in September 2002 after completing her B.S. degree in Speech Communication/Public Relations with a minor in political science from Millersville University. She has a background in media planning and document design and layout. Meagan coordinates and designs all of the MPS publications, processes MPS membership and plans and organizes CME events, making sure they are in compliance with all ACCME regulations. She also staffs the residents and fellows committee, early career psychiatry committee and program & CME committee.
