This
is my last issue as editor of the Maryland
Psychiatrist.
I’d like to thank the editorial board and the MPS staff, especially
Meagan Floyd for all their input over the last three to four years.
Meagan has done an excellent job doing the layout for each issue and the
editorial board has helped tremendously with writing and editing articles,
attending editorial board meetings, brainstorming to come up with ideas for
articles, and advising me as editor.
Many of the members have been on the board for years and have been
editors themselves so are clearly dedicated to the Maryland
Psychiatrist. A major challenge for the editor was finding writers so
I’m very grateful to those of you who have organized a column or written
articles—some wrote for every issue.
I’d
like to welcome the new editor, Paul McClelland, a past president of MPS, who
has generously agreed to take over.
He is already armed with ideas for articles and new energy for the job as
evidenced by his attendance at our most recent editorial board meeting. To our
readers—please welcome him and offer your input as needed.
